Waking up from Groundhog Day- Wellbeing Event

Hours- 4 Hours

Experience

This event took place on 14.04.21

In order to review this event, in a pair, we created an auditing tool which we completed whilst participating in the event. The audit focused on five different areas of the event: the marketing, communication, time, content and tangibles. All of these areas were chosen to ensure that the feedback would be used for improvements if they planned another event.

The event was a wellbeing event that included a variety of different sessions such as yoga, meditation, and goal setting. Overall the event ran smoothly and all of the sessions were interesting, and reviewing it was good to understand what went well and what could be improved on.

Skills

Reviewing an Event

It is important to review events

as it will give an insight into what

can make events better and what works well, and then then these findings can be used to improve your own events. Using an audit for this event let me explore deeper into the possible reasons for the success or failure of an event, and

this will make me more aware of

these factors when planning my

own event.

Curiosity

Graduate Attribute table

(Morrison 2016)

Curiosity is always a good skill to

have when planning events because it promotes development and creativity. Using an audit to review this event improves curiosity because it gives an insight into the workings of an event

and how to use different areas to

improve its success.
