Action plan for

the next year

I am always looking for ways to imporve and help progress in my career, so I have created an action plan for the next year with three aims and how I will reach each aim.


AIM 1: Develop leading team briefing skills.

  • Training as a manager on duty at Pizza Express- by completing this training I will be able to lead more team briefings and therefore build confidence. 
  • I will be able to adapt the brief that has been used for the whole three years I have worked there, as I believe that there are other aspects that need to be mentioned, such as positive messages.


AIM 2: Learn more about staff recruitment, in connection to both employees and suppliers.

  • Once trained as a MOD at Pizza Express I will be able to assist with completing interviews and exploring the recruitment process. I have ideas such as completing trial shifts that will enable us to cut down on our staff turnover.
  • Whilst completing my placement year at Critical Eye as an event intern, I will be able to discover different ways of recruiting both staff and suppliers. Having these contrasting methods will enable me to build my knowledge of recruitment.


AIM 3: Build my confidence in my ideas for events.

  • I believe that confidence comes with experience, which is why I wanted to complete a placement year whilst at university. 
  • Working with Critical Eye will give me the opportunity to discuss ideas with the event team and put these ideas into practice. 
  • Evaluating after events will be a tool to use when trying to develop new ideas and exploring what went well or could be improved from previous events.
